For That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday:

I decided to make this one a list of past lists
Schools
- Dark academia
- Back to school freebie
- Favorite tropes (has a few school settings, but also other stuff)
Hotels/Inns/B&Bs
Islands
At sea/near the sea
Carnivals/circuses/amusement parks
Victoria era
- Neo-Victorian novels
- Gothic romance (not all of these are Victorian settings, but several are)
- Gothic book tag (again, not all Victorian settings)
- Best dual timeline novels (ditto)
- Favorite tropes
New York City
Small town
Bookshops/Libraries
- Books About Book Lovers (again, not all are about/set in libraries and bookstores here, but a lot are)
Haunted houses, cemeteries, and spooky places
This is a fun list of TTT lists! I hadn’t thought much about dual timeline novels before, and how it’s usually the Victorian Era that is the second timeline. Huh.

It is, but I’m not sure why it’s so popular. I suppose other people must like it as a setting too?

I guess it’s just popular. It’s very often romanticized, so I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that it’s in so much fiction.
