  1. These all sound great! I’ve read a couple of the books on your list (I’m currently finishing up the Athena Club series—though for MaddAdam I am stopping after having read just the first one) but want to read some of the others. I agree, though… if the author can’t / doesn’t want to sum up the series to date early on in the text of the current book, I love it when they include at least the relevant background as a foreword! It should be more of a thing.
